Allergies and Food Intolerances

Every time she bites into the juicy red berries, she gets a rash on the upper part of her body and can’t stop itching. Robert ends up with diarrhea after eating any milk product, and hazelnuts in cake cause David to have an asthma attack.”


Acute reactions to food, dust and pollen can appear shortly after contact or several hours later. Symptoms range from itching, rash, stomach pain, diarrhea, vomiting, itchy eyes, sneezing to asthma attacks and allergic shock. Joint pain or psychic reactions are not as common.


Some patients react to items contaminated with sprays, cleaning products like washing powder, pollen pesticides or mold fungi. Reactions to food additives like food colouring and preservatives are on the rise. Among those are glutamate, benzoic acid and many more of the “E” labelled substances.


Allergies can be demonstrated by a severe attack like a nut allergy or a more subtle kind that we may not even know about. It’s the latter that can really oppress our immune system and cause many other problems that are hard to find by doctors. It’s important to know what you are intolerant to so you can eliminate it whilst you have treatment – yes that’s right – if you find the root cause for your allergy and have treatment you will be able to eat the food again and not have to have a life of abstinence!!


Also not many people realise that certain foods are at the top of the allergy chain, all allergies fall under these “central allergens” they are:

How to find out which is your allergy


It can be expensive and time consuming to find out.  That’s why your doctor won't happily suggest that they send you for tests. You may have heard of a prick test which works one substance at a time. It can be unreliable and the only option is to abstain from the food. We can actually test 64 foods and 56 other pollens and allergens with just one drop of blood. But more importantly we can also do a test to determine what the CAUSE of the allergy is. Once that cause has been removed you can begin to feel better and not have any allergies again.


But what is the cause?


There are 3 basic causes of allergies, one or all of these have been found in our clinic and successfully treated.

1 - 35% caused by Candida overgrowth

2 - 98% caused by Parasites
